A night of Mood and Mind Medley

Last week marked the successful commencement of Aurora Healthcare's 10-week ‘Mood and Mind Medley’ GP education roadshow.

The inaugural session, hosted by Brunswick Private Hospital, saw a full house of 40 GPs and featured five expert presenters: Psychiatrists Dr. Greg Roebuck, Dr. Samir Ibrahim, Dr. Neeraj Aggarwal, Dr. Meenal Aggarwal, and Mishelle Baji. The engagement and enthusiasm from the attendees created a fantastic atmosphere for the whole evening.

The event centred on the theme “Mood and Mind Meditation,” offering a series of interactive discussions led by our presenters. Attendees explored critical topics such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD), and the role of diet in psychiatric mental health. These discussions provided valuable insights into the latest clinical practices and therapeutic approaches.

“Having been with the company for a few months, my initial focus was on my staff and our doctors, ensuring we care for those who care for the community. Now, I’m eager to expand our connections, meet the local GP community, and explore how we can collaborate to provide the best possible care in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne,” said Brunswick Private CEO Syed Hossain.

For those who attended, the event served as an excellent platform for healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge, share experiences, and build connections within the mental health community. The collaborative environment fostered during the event underscored the importance of continuous professional development and peer support in the field of mental health.

Thank you to our presenters and those that attended, contributing to a successful event.
