For those not needing inpatient nursing care, the day programs offer tailored rehabilitation. These programs, typically conducted 2 to 3 times per week, aim to facilitate patients’ return to work, leisure activities, and community living, guided by recommendations from the multidisciplinary team.

Bryta is an exercise and brain training program designed by academic geriatrician, Kwang Lim, and physiotherapist, Cindy Phan. The program is available to anyone over 60 years of age who would like to exercise their brain and body at the same time.
Having a healthy brain is especially important as we reach middle age, and our brain begins to change. Research has shown that physical exercise and brain training done at the same time is effective for both cognitive and physical health in adults over 60.
What is included?
Our falls and balance program is suitable for patients who have had a recent fall/s, or are deconditioned and a falls risk, as well as patients with balance difficulties and who can ambulate independently and clearly understand English and instructions.
Patients with cardiac conditions including, coronary heart disease, stents, angina, heart attack and other vascular conditions can benefit from our Cardiac Rehab program. This program assists to increase your cardiovascular endurance, walking tolerance and overall strength. Your blood pressure and oxygen saturation levels are monitored before, during and after each session.
Patients diagnosed with Parkinson Disease, including newly diagnosed patients who are at a high functioning level, independent with low falls risks may benefit from our PD Warrior® program. The program utilises amplified, high intensity and strong exercises to help improve your quality of life, with long term exercise behaviour, which may help to delay the progress of symptoms.
Our Strength and Conditioning program is ideal for patients who have specific functional goals to achieve. This program is tailored to those who may be recovering from trauma or surgery, including TAC/Workcover patients. The program aims to improve function in patients’ strength, endurance and/or mobility.
As per the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) guidelines, pulmonary rehabilitation should be provided to all patients with COPD. Our pulmonary rehab program focuses on increasing cardiovascular endurance and global strength, as well as teaching appropriate breathing strategies.

Day Therapy Programs can be accessed by patients who have had an overnight admission to our hospital as part of a relapse prevention plan or as early intervention following assessment by a Psychiatrist with admission rights to the hospital.
